Chapter 1:The Tale of the Beginning
In a land with no name, the Father came, and made it to be much as it is seen even this day. He showed the Faithful:the Ssith, the Exocrinds, the Avians, the Fenrir, the Mermadons, and even the Outcasts boundless patience and the infinite greatness of all that He was. Through time, He grew to love his peoples more and more, siring an offspring in each race.
Some wives-tales I'm sure you've heard tell of gods siring children, being born half-god, but let me assure you that these young were all god. Upon the day of each Godlings' arrival, The Lands were swept with catastrophies of such magnitude that the mere earth beneath us threatened to swallow us whole, and the skies rained fire down upon us. Many of His faithful were lost that horrible day, including my own wife. In order to protect and preserve His beloved peoples, He personally took his young into the heavens where He could watch over them until they learned to control their power. For years there was great turmoil upon the Lands, as the Godlings played with their newfound powers, shaping and changing the world at their whim. And so the Godlings grew to maturity along with the six races of The Lands, each becoming akin to their half-brethren and half-sisters. Great bonds were formed between these Godlings and their newfound peoples. Peace and serenity permeated The Lands for a thousand years.
Then, one day, the day we now call the Terrible Day, The Father disappeared. No one knows how or why. Many of our great philosophers and oracles have been trying to delve deeper into this mystery for quite some time now. Perhaps he has forsaken us. Perhaps we may never know.
The Godlings were thrown into a panic. Never before had they ever been without his awe and power to guide them in their ways. Each scoured the heavens as well as The Lands for hundreds of years, forsaking the cries of help from their own peoples, so that they might find The Father, and his infinite wisdom. They had no idea how quite to handle the matters of the world on their own accord.
Finally coming to the conclusion that They were now responsible for their peoples, the Godlings now had new reasons for hearing them. And so each took part in the care of their own, each in his/her own way, of course with each doing as they thought was the right thing. As you may have guessed by now, this is where the tale gets more complicated.
As we know now in the mortal world, not even the Godlings are infaliable, for when you have six children who all have very stong and very conflicting opinions and passions, any fool could tell that there will be a conflict. And so there was, and The First War began. And now we all wait with baited breath to see the outcome of this war. If the wrong god comes to take The Father's throne, we may all be in for a millenium of sorrow, if not longer.
As I grow near my time, I must carry on this tale to you, the younger and bolder generation. With the knowlege of how this all began, I pray that you will be strong enough to survive The War.
